Dear Bode Oguntoke, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for everything you've done for me. Our serendipitous encounter at Rhythex back in 2006 was nothing short of destiny, altering the course of my banking career in a profoundly positive way. Your presence has been a constant pillar of support, a beacon of guidance, and an unwavering friend throughout the years. Your wisdom and advice were invaluable during my time at Unity Bank, steering me through choppy waters. And when the threat loomed, your timely intervention offered me an escape route that I'll always remember with immense gratitude. Reflecting now, I realize that among all my bosses, it's you who truly taught me the most. Your mentorship shaped not just my professional growth but also my leadership style. The camaraderie and bond we shared with the team were testament to your leadership approach; an approach that inspired respect, not just authority. Your success doesn't surprise me; your spiritual intelligence has always been apparent, reflecting in every step you take. I stand ready to support any endeavor you pursue, for I trust your judgment implicitly. While others might question, with you, I've always known that your reasons are well-founded. Bode, your reservoir of reputation capital in my book is not just full, but seemingly inexhaustible. I remain profoundly grateful for everything you've done, and I deeply appreciate your ongoing support and guidance. Thank you for being the remarkable person you are.

In the vast expanse of one's career journey, the influence of a mentor can be a beacon, guiding through uncharted territories and unlocking the full spectrum of one's potential. For me, that guiding light has been Dr. Bode Oguntoke – a mentor, visionary, and source of inspiration whose impact has been nothing short of transformative. Our journey together began in 2014 when, seeking guidance for my career aspirations, I approached Dr. Oguntoke with a simple yet profound request: to be my mentor. Little did I know that this chance encounter would mark the genesis of a remarkable chapter in my professional life. Apart from the Holy Spirit, Dr. Oguntoke stands as the singular individual with whom I openly share my career plans, seeking his sagacious advice and insights. His mentorship is not confined to our conversations, but extends to the profound impact of his own career choices and trajectory, serving as an enduring source of inspiration. As the years unfolded, Dr. Oguntoke's mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping my trajectory. In 2014, I was a local developer in Ibadan, harboring aspirations for broader horizons. Today, I proudly stand as a testament to the transformative power of mentorship, working as a software engineer in the world's largest tech company (no arguments, please). Furthermore, I have had the privilege of speaking at international events hosted by Microsoft. This journey has been a testament to the possibilities that unfold when one is guided by the wisdom of an exemplary mentor.
My career journey started with Dr Bode Oguntoke. He was my First Line Manager when i started Banking. During the period he made work easy and fun to always be at work. He always dedicate his time to impact no matter how busy, he creates that time to teach me something new every week. He was the one who set my feet into the right path in my career and made me who i am today. He encouraged me to begin to write Certifications exams that will distinguish me from the ordinary. I remember he said to me you must start your masters degree and he paid for my application form. I can never forget his mentorship and how valuable it was to me till now. Each time i have opportunity to share my experience will people or people ask me, i always say i acknowledge my mentor (Dr Bode) because he was the one that shaped and gives me the opportunity to me to be where i am today in my career. One thing i also cherish about Dr Bode his humble and he sees no issues or problem that cannot be solved. He rings that into my hearing that no problem that cannot be solve, its just to know how to tackle it and move out of it. Am grateful to him because i passed through his leadership and he impacted me positively.
Uncle B, Boss B, Oga B, Oga Bode
He has been called numerous names before now and now I call him Dr. B. I met Oga Bode August/ September 2015 in Union Bank for an interview into his Team which ended up being a chat, encouragement and advise for someone who is to join his Team. He instantly believed in me and saw even what i did not see which is the capacity, Tenacity and hardworking person. Dr. B is an ever supportive, dependable and who will stand by you through thick and thin. Even after he left the Organization, I would still call to ask for his advise, opinion ad counsel on steps i wanted to take which he never hid his opinion and would always be willing to guide and support. I can never visit him without him finding something to give me when leaving, it can never be too small. He is a mentor, A leader, a friend, a brother, an Uncle and a Father (All in one). In my career, God used him to shape and bring me back to what i do now and have falling in Love with. He built an amazing Technical Team (IT and E-business Control) which i am proud to say was the Best team i have worked with so far till date. The synergy, cooperation and love amongst us (A family) was which was envied by all in the organization. He would encourage and ensure we all agree to an decision to be made. We were all celebrated for any landmark occasion and would stand in and be there for one another. Dr. Olubode Oguntoke is an amazing person. Thanks for what you have done for me and everyone who have passed through him. Thank you Sir!
